Liu Ye 劉曄, courtesy name Ziyang 子揚, was a high official of the Wei period 曹魏 (220-265).
He hailed from Chengde 成惪 in the commandery of Huainan 淮南 (modern Shouxian 壽縣, Anhui). The warlord Cao Cao 曹操 appointed him administrator of the granaries section of the Ministry of Works (sikong cangcao yuan 司空倉曹掾), then recorded in that institution (zhubu 主簿).
During Cao's campaign against the Daoist rebel leader Zhang Lu 張魯 in the region of Hanzhong 漢中 he earned military laurels and was made military aide (xingjun zhangshi 行軍長史). When Cao Cao's son Cao Pi 曹丕 (Emperor Wen of Wei 魏文帝, r. 220-226) proclaimed himself emperor of the Wei dynasty, Liu Ye was made 侍中 and given the title of Marquis within the Passes (guanneihou 關內侯). Emperor Ming 魏明帝 (r. 226－239 CE) promoted him to the status of Neighbourhood Marquis of Dongting 東亭侯.
In 232 illness forced Liu Ye to give up his post, yet he was given the honorific title of Superior Grand Master of the Palace (taizhong dafu 太中大夫). Two years later he retired. His posthumous title was Marquis Jing 東亭景侯.
