Quanmingshi 全明詩 is a collection of regular-style poems (shi 詩) from the Ming period 明 (1368-1644). It was compiled by a team of experts from several universities under the guidance of Zhang Peiheng 章培恒, Li Lingnian 李靈年, Ping Huishan 平慧善, Ni Qixin 倪其心 and Li Qingdan 李慶担. The collection was published by Shanghai Guji Press 上海古籍出版 from 1990 on in several batches. The compilation team combed the collection of individual writers and literary anthologies, and also gathered poems occasionally quoted (sanjian 散見) in various types of literature. All poems were critically annotated. The tremendous number of poems transmitted unexpectedly halted the project, so that only three volumes have been published so far (1990, 1993, and 1994).
