Songs and arias (ciqu 詞曲)

The literary type of songs and arias (ciqu 詞曲) is a sub-category to the literary category of belles-lettes (jibu 集部) in the collectaneum Siku quanshu 四庫全書. The section is divided into the following parts: Complete collections of ci poetry (ciji 詞集), selected ci poems (cixuan 詞選), explanations of and literature about ci poetry (cihua 詞話), remarks, notes and treatises on the rhymes of ci poetry (ci puyun 詞譜韻), and finally arias from the south and from the north (nanbeiqu 南北曲).
