Pangshi jiaxun 龐氏家訓 "Master Pang's family instructions" is a book on Confucian family management written during the Ming period 明 (1368-1644) by Pang Shangpeng 龐尚鵬 (1524-1581), courtesy name Shaonan 少南, style Xing'an 惺庵, from Nanhai 南海, Guangdong. His highest office was that of grand coordinator (xunfu 巡撫) of Fujian province.
The text is divided into ten chapters that explain the essential duties of the family members of the household, the change of these duties with their age, how to obey rituals and etiquette, to observe duties, to act with the greatest virtue, to be careful in ceremonies, and to demonstrate the best side of oneself. The book closes with poems on primary education (Xunmeng ge 訓蒙歌) and special exhortations to girls.
