Wenjingtang congshu 問經堂叢書

Wenjingtang congshu 問經堂叢書 "Collectanea of the Studio of Questions about the Classics" is a series of collectanea (congshu 叢書) compiled by the Qing-period 清 (1644-1911) scholar Sun Fengyi 孫馮翼, courtesy name Fengqing 鳳卿 or Fengpu 鳳埔. He hailed from Chengde 承德 (modern Shenyang 沈陽, Liaonng) and was influenced by the scholarly studies of the philosopher and publisher Sun Xingyan 孫星衍 (1753-1818). It is known that his father was provincial administration commissioner (fansi 藩司) of Jiangnan 江南, but about Sun Fengyi's life and career, not much is known.

The series was compiled over a long period of time, during which Sun assembled 18 texts with a total length of 31 juan. It seems to have been finished between 1797 and 1802 and was printed by several publishers in the region of Shandong and Jiangsu. These were as much as 28 individual editions, many of them critically revised by Sun Xingyan. The book includes commentaries on the Confucian Classics and other important texts of antiquity. Two of these comments were products of Sun Fengyi himself.
