Paijing 牌經

Paijing 牌經, also called Madiao paijing 馬弔牌經, is a book on a card game written by Long Ziyou 龍子猶, who is no one else than the great novellist Feng Menglong 馮夢龍 (1574-1646). With 13 chapters, the book imitates the classic of military strategy, Sunzi bingfa 孫子兵法. It gives advice to tactics to a card game (paixi 牌戲), but also describes the common rules of the game. Being written by a famous writer, the text is refined, but still clear.
