Jiajie yaoyan 家誡要言 "Important words of family adhortations", also called Jiajia yaoyu 家誡要語, is a book on Confucian family management written by the Ming-period 明 (1368-1644) scholar Wu Linzheng 吳麟徵, courtesy name Laihuang 来皇, style Leizhai 磊齋. He hailed from Haiyan 海鹽, Zhejiang, obtained his jinshi degree in 1622, and rose to the office of Vice Minister of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices (taichangsi shaoqing 太常寺少卿). In 1644, during the Manchu conquest of China, he loyally died for the Ming dynasty.
The short Jiajie yaoyan has been written as an instructional text for Wu's own sons and is compiled in the method of a disputation between Wu Linzheng and his son Wu Fanchang 吳蕃昌, who was a disciple of the Confucian scholar Liu Zongzhou 劉宗周 xxx.
The book is included in the series Xuehai leibian 學海類編, Xunmintang congshu 遜敏堂叢書 and Congshu jicheng chubian 叢書集成初編.
