The Yesupin 野蔌品 "Classes of wild vegetables" is a book on eatable wild plants written by the Ming period 明 (1368-1644) scholar Gao Lian 高濂, courtesy name Gao Shenfu 高深甫, style Duannan daoren 端南道人 or Hushang taohua yu 湖上桃花漁. He came from Qiantang 錢塘 (modern Hangzhou 杭州, Zhejiang). The Yesupin was originally a chapter in Gao Lian's encyclopaedia Zunsheng bajian 遵生八箋 that focused on methods to achieve health. It included descriptions of 96 wild-grown eatable plants with details on their appearance, character and the way of cooking them. This book was particularly helpful in periods of famine, when the peasant population suffered hunger, and was therefore also published separately. It is included in the reprint series Jujia bibei 居家必備, Shuofu xu 說郛續, Shuibian linxia 水邊林下 and Guang baichuan xuehai 廣百川學海.
