Dunyin zalu 鈍吟雜錄 is a thematically organised collection of the writings of Feng Ban 馮班 (1614-1681), courtesy name Dingyuan 定遠, style Dunyin 鈍吟, from Changshu 常熟, Jiangsu. Feng was known for his excellent calligraphy. His collected writings are called Dingyuan ji 定遠集, Dunyin shiwen gao 鈍吟詩文稿 and Pingdian caidiao ji 評點才調集.
The collection has a total length of 10 juan. The "Family instructions" Jiajie 家誡 cover many reflections on worldly affairs and extensively discuss the shortcomings of late Ming-period 明 (1368-1644) Confucian scholarship. Zhengsu 正俗 "Correcting vernacular [defects]" primarily discusses the rules of poetry. Dugu qianshuo 讀古淺說 are commentaries on poetry and prose literature. The "diary" Riji 日記 delves into writing techniques and calligraphy, with additional miscellaneous notes. Yanshi jiumiu 嚴氏糾謬 addresses the accuracy of Yan Yu's 嚴羽 (died c. 1245) poetry critique Canglang shihua 滄浪詩話. Jiezi tie 誡子帖 discusses the critique of ancient calligraphy and includes four additional precepts, focusing mainly on methods of studying. Yiyan 遺言 "Last words" and Jiang si zhi ming 將死之鳴 "Final Warnings" discuss similar topics as the "Family instructions". The corrections of Zhu Xi's 朱熹 (1130-1200) errors in the "Outlines to the Comprehensive Mirror for Aid in Governance" Tongjian gangmu jiumiu 通鑒綱目糾謬 are not completed.
The collection was printed during the Kangxi reign-period 康熙 (1662-1722) and is included in the series Shoushange congshu 守山閣叢書, Zhihai 指海, Siku quanshu 四庫全書, Jieyue shanfang huichao 借月山房彙鈔, Zeguzhai chongchao 澤古齋重鈔, Shiguzhai huichao 式古齋彙鈔 and Congshu jicheng chubian 叢書集成初編.
